Program description

This 2-day program is designed to provide health care professionals with acquiring a deeper understanding of the cardiovascular system and how it functions. The health care providers will practice basic electrocardiograph patient care techniques, applying legal and ethical responsibilities. Health Care providers learn the use of medical instrumentation, electrocardiogram theory, identification of and response to mechanical problems, recognition of cardiac rhythm and response to emergency findings. Moreover, this program provides students with the basic principles of electrocardiography and ECG interpretation. It gives health care providers a functional knowledge of the principles of ECG interpretation, including localization of myocardial infarctions. They will be introduced to the standard limb and 12-lead electrocardiogram, including critical thinking, clinical judgment, decision making and teamwork, which are emphasized in this program.
